Master Bathroom – The Reveal

I finished the bathroom with 3 1/2 hours to spare! (I have ’til midnight tonight to submit the bathroom to the One Room Challenge.) Woo! Talk about down to the wire…but hey, that’s just how I live my life! LOL In my last post, all I had left to do was my vanity top (besides little odds and ends) and I thought to myself, “Amanda you’ll knock that shit out in no time and have time to spare.” Oh how wrong I was! One week turned into three…and now here we are. But that’s ok right? Life just happened to get in the way and there were things that just happened to be more important than finishing my bathroom – my dad started having heart issues and spent some time in the hospital (don’t worry he’s okay), Thanksgiving snuck up out of nowhere, and I had to take a break from making things for me and actually start making things for clients again.

Without further ado, here’s the bathroom! I’m so excited that its finished. Every time I walk into the room, I can’t help but smile. I honestly thought this day would never come.

We totally went boujee on this bathroom. Since I DIYed most of it, we decided to splurge on a few things – like the bidet toilet seat (greatest thing EVER) and the heated towel rack (its like getting a hug from a ray of sunshine when you get out of the shower).

I even got any with the baseboard and put a “box” around the toilet waterline to hide the big hole I had to cut into the drywall to get it around the water valve handle (or whatever its called).

I kept the decor in the bathroom minimal, and the only thing I hung on the wall is this vintage county map. Our last name is Yates and years ago I was searching for something on eBay and came across this vintage map from Yates county, New York. Even though we’re not from New York, I thought it was kismet and just had to get it. Its not every day I find something with my last name on it. Hell, its really hard to find anything that has just a “Y”!
